The HMC (N.J.) Federal Credit Union, established in 1978, is a cooperative organization owned entirely by its members and operated for the benefit of all who belong. Like all Credit Unions, the HMC (N.J.) Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization. The members’ deposits provide funding for other members who need loans. Repayment of these loans generate income to pay dividends on savings and to pay operating expenses. This is the long standing philosophy of Credit Unions in action, “People Helping People”. The HMC Credit Union was founded to serve employees of The Hunterdon Healthcare System. When you choose the HMC Credit Union as your financial institution you are not just a customer to us, you are a valued member and owner. We are committed to providing you with a safe and convenient place to do all your financial activities and an easier, more economical way to borrow. You can leave HHS, move or retire and never have to leave the HMC Credit Union. “Once a member, always a member.”

How to Join

Who can Join???

· Employees, doctors, medical staff and technicians of the Hunterdon Healthcare Systems/Hunterdon Medical Center who work in Flemington, NJ, and of its subsidiaries in the New Jersey locations who are salaried through the Medical Center:
· Volunteers who work at the Medical Center and its subsidiary facilities under the supervision of the Medical Center and its subsidiary staffs.
· Contractors and employees of contractors who work regularly at the Hunterdon Health Care Systems/Hunterdon Medical Center or its subsidiary facilities.
· Members of the Board of Trustees of the Hunterdon Health Care Systems/Hunterdon Medical Center.
· Spouses of persons who die while within the field of membership of this credit union.
· Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the Medical Center.
· Members of their immediate families.
· Organizations of such persons.
Applications for membership may be made in person at the Credit Union.
Membership registration fee is $1.00 and non-refundable and a $50 deposit must be made into each new account.

Important information about procedures for opening a new account:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
This means you must personally appear at the Credit Union to establish membership. We are required to make a photo copy of your driver’s license and work ID. If you are a family member and do not have a Hunterdon Healthcare Systems ID we will need another form of Photo ID
